| The ET40 types are heavy-duty metal oxide varistors with a thermal cut-off device. This device protects ET types from varistor failure in the event of abnormal overvoltage. The ET40 Series offers excellent surge protection with extra safety for various electronic equipment such as: traffic and raillway signal systems, communication equipment, waterworks, automatic control devices for power distribution, oil drilling and mining equipment (dredgers, cranes, etc.). The advantages of the ET40 Series are: terminals constructed for PCB mounting, a thermal cut-off device which protects ET40 types from varistor failure in event of abnormal overvoltage or varistor thermal runaway. Remote signalisation can be achieved by external circuitry. |
