Testing Laboratory

Testing laboratory has been established in 1985 with the first pulse generator 8/20 µs up to 13kA. Since that time the Varsi electrical laboratory has been continuously growing and adding more and more new measuring equipment.

In the Varsi Testing laboratory we can perform measurements according to the following standards:
IEC 61051-2,  IEC 61643-1:1998,IEC 61643-21:2000, IEC 61643-1, 2nd Ed., 2005-03, EN 61643-11:2002, DIN EN 61643-11, IEC 60099-4, CECC 42 000, ...

System for measuring the basic varistor’s parameters:

• Life time test


• Generators for current pulses 8/20 µs up to 13kA


• Generators for current pulses 8/20 µs up to 40kA


• Generator for impulse current I_imp (many times referred as 10/350 µs current pulse) up to 34kA
